Hemodiafiltration (HDF) helps Eduardo have energy and stay active

Switching to in-center HDF dialysis treatments gave Eduardo Melendez his energy back, and he's feeling better than ever. He's especially happy to have the strength to play with his young son when they go to the park. Before starting in-center HDF, Eduardo was too tired after his treatments to do much. Now, he's full of energy and keeping up with his son is no longer a problem. Even his care team notices the change in his energy levels. Samuel Costa, Patient Care Technician and part of Eduardo's care team, said "He looks more awake. He seems to feel much less fatigued."

Eduardo encourages others to try in-center HDF. "I say go for it," he says. "It's a big change, and I'm proud of it." Not only does he feel better physically, but he also feels happier. He's spending more time with his son, visiting family, and being more present for the people he loves. Eduardo is even hoping his dad, who gets dialysis at a different center, will try HDF, too. Edwardo wants him to feel the same way he does, more energetic and able to enjoy life again by reaching HDF.
